Starting out as a labour of love for owner Charles Fawcett as he added performance modifications to Land Rover Defenders for off-road competition and at Twisted's sister company Yorkshire 4x4, Twisted Performance was in the offing for years before finally becoming reality.

Disappointed with the performance of many of the mail-order parts on the market and realising that without an intimate knowledge of the mysteries of Land Rover, tuning would be out of the reach of all but the most extreme enthusiasts, Charles began sourcing, designing and manufacturing performance parts that would significantly boost power, torque and driveability without requiring major modifications to the standard Land Rover engine or mechanics.

Today, Twisted is one of the most prestigious names in Land Rover tuning, its Gale Force range bringing even the workhorse Defender into the realms of GTi performance and creating bona fide thoroughbreds throughout the Land Rover range.
